Note: The Culture Guild is experimenting with governance processes for the Guild. This post is an experiment in opening up Guild-specific proposals to the Forefront community for feedback and transparency. The budget from this proposal will be allocated using the Culture Guild's budget (not the Forefront treasury) and thus will not go up for vote in the broader Forefront Community.
Brief description of project: Establish Forefront podcast feed leveraging existing content from Hangouts and experiment with biweekly (twice a month) episodes
Trial Period: August 31, 2021 to November 1, 2021
Numbers below reflect the budget for four episodes (two per month for two months).

- Continue creating high quality content and insights around social tokens and DAOs
- Experiment with podcasting as a medium for Forefront content
This proposal outlines the budget and deliverables for a “trial period” from August 31, 2021 to September 1, 2021. This two-month period provides an opportunity for Forefront to experiment with podcasting and assess whether we’d like to expand into creating more audio content.
Audio from Forefront weekly Hangouts will be posted as podcast episodes using Anchor.fm for publishing to push to all major podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.).
Biweekly (twice a month) episodes, inspired by the Bankless Weekly Rollup and MoFi Consensus, summarize the biggest news and trends in social tokens and DAOs in an easy-to-follow audio format. Each episode has two co-hosts (ideally these co-hosts are the same each episode) and a duration of 60 to 90 minutes.
Biweekly episodes and weekly hangouts will be published on the same feed. This allows Forefront to build an audience of subscribers while we experiment with different types of audio content.
Weekly Hangouts podcasts should be published Monday each week starting August 30th, 2021.
Biweekly episodes should be published every other Monday starting September 6th, 2021.
What does success look like?
- Building an audience of subscribers for Forefront audio content
- Determining whether audio content is a medium Forefront wants to invest more resources into producing
Weekly hangout episodes will be promoted on Twitter using video content that is already created by the Growth Guild. Episodes will also be linked in the Forefront newsletter and ff-daily curated news on Discord. The Culture Guild will collaborate with the Growth Guild to explore other marketing strategies to expand reach for the podcast.
